The Garden Springs PTA will vote on the following proposed Bylaw Amendments at the December 7th meeting:
1. Article V: Membership and Dues. Section 7. Dues would be increased from $4.00 to $5.00 for each member. {This action was actually approved at the Orchestra & Band Concert/General Membership meeting in the Spring of 2008. However, no minutes were taken during that meeting so we need to readdress this issue and have a vote during a meeting where minutes are recorded.}
2. Article VI: Officers – Election and Vacancies. Section 2. The number of Vice Presidents would increase from 2 to 3. {We currently have a VP for Membership and a VP for Fundraising. The additional position would be for a VP for Programs.}
3. Article XI: Meetings. Section 6. The number of members present to constitute a quorum would decrease from 20 to 10. {The bylaws state that this is the number of members required (10 or more recommended) to constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of this PTA/PTSA.}
